    Description

    This great 3 piece grate was made by the Adams Co. of Dubuque Iowa dated 1897. There are no breaks or cracks to the casting. The center piece fits perfect and locks in place with two ears in the cover fitting in two slots and rotates to lock. The center rides in the channel and rotates to open or close to increase or decrease the heat. The upper side has surface rust.The bottom shows the grate was originally black. It has great rusty patina. The od is 16 inches.
