Battletech Jade Falcon Guards patch Pryde's Pride Clan Jade Falcon patch

Description

Jade Falcon Guards "Pryde's Pride" unit patch, circa 3052. This is the patch as updated for the battle of Tukayyid in Robert Thurston's
Falcon Guard,
and is modeled closely upon the description (and black-and-white image) from the
Jade Falcon Sourcebook
, which reads:
A swooping black falcon with luminescent green eyes clutching a silver sword.
I originally wanted to use a dark green that was nearly black to represent the Falcon (to mimic the descriptions of a Jade Falcon's appearance from sources like
Twilight of the Clans IV: Freebirth
) but the dark green did not translate as well into thread as it did as a digital image or in my imagination. The black I ended up using for the falcon is true to the unit insignia's description and is also a very rich and glossy color.
I used the same rich and vibrant green from my Clan Jade Falcon patch for the eye in this Falcon Guard emblem.
I chose to use a light military sand/khaki for the background similar to some of the colors the Jade Falcons use for their "Desert" camouflage.
This is a 3" round patch with an iron-on backing. Both the Falcon and the katana are embossed, with beautiful & vibrant colors and tight threading. These are limited, custom made patches.
