HUGE 35g Antique Hardstone Agate Carnelian Cameo Brooch Gold Pearl HEAVY

Description

Antique HUGE HEAVY carved hardstone banded agate cameo brooch....museum quality carving.  Carved in very high relief...beautiful white profile against carnelian back ground.  Mounted in an ornate ...bead and scroll design...3 dimensional ...no markings ...but tests for low carat..10K or there about.  Beautiful large cultured pearl ...set on a post.  The old C-clasp has been replaced with fold over clasp (does not look gold)...and there are a few solder spots on the back ...that are not seen from the front. There is a thin hair line crack on the front left side of the mount that goes around to the side (last 2 pics).  Probably done when replacing the clasp.  This is very large for a hardstone piece...measuring 2"  x 1 3/4"  x over 1/2" thick. ...weighing 35
grams.  The carving is EXQUISITE & VERY HIGH RELIEF!  In beautiful antique condition. Gorgeous front presentation!
