This is an unused Mercury Space Capsule that has been made into a promotional bank.
It was given out by Mooresville Federal Savings & Loan Association
Located at 347 N. Main St. in
Mooresville, NC.
Given out in the early 1960s
Honors Alan Shepard, Scott Carpenter, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, John Glenn, and Gordon Cooper
Lots of interesting information on the bottom of the capsule.
Roughly 4-1/8" in diameter across the bottom and 1-1/4" across the top.
The capsule stands 5" tall
This does not appear to have been used or abused.
