PIONEER VSX-918V-K 5ch A-V Receiver

Description

This 13 year old PIONEER VSX-918V-K A/V Receiver was loaded in features and performance when first issued in 2008. What sets this A/V receiver apart from the rest or even many newer A/V receivers isn't it's adequate power of the 5ch 95wpc RMS into 8ohms but the way they designed the amplifier section!   It's P.H.A.T.  I really think the design engineers had a bit of a giggle with that one: Pioneer Hybrid Amplifier Technology. Regardless, they manufactured  a relatively modest-almost cheap A/V amplifier @ 9 (2008) and kept the most important part of an amplifier design: THE SOUND QUALITY!  The audio reproduction is approaching Audiophile quality and leaving behind the "let's just give the customer tons of power"-typical A/V design. You will notice an array of audio augmentations that even with these changes of the original audio still offers a warm and full sound and stays true to the source material. Yes, this PIONEER VSX-918V-K will be an EXCELLENT 2ch audio only receiver AS WELL as be a very nice Surround Receiver for your home video/movies. It obviously doesn't have the latest and greatest but, what it does offer with it's variety of audio processing, it does VERY WELL. 2-HDMI outputs with 1-HDMI Input. A very convenient front panel with USB for iPod direct connection (see photo) and A/V RCA inputs.
NO Phono section on this model.
NO REMOTE (but I've seen them available).
