Deluxe MDF
The Deluxe Melody platform is 2.25" thick.
Deluxe with Lead Core
This Deluxe Melody platform is 2.25" thick with a lead shot center core and much greater mass to further absorb vibrations.
SORBOTHANE
The feet are
pure Sorbothane, which will isolate up to 94.7% of acoustic vibration from the surface where your turntable is placed.

he key to absorbing vibrations is the Sorbothane feet. Sorbothane is a highly damped, visco-elastic polymeric
solid
that displaces like a liquid under load.
"Under load" is the key phrase. The correct size and density for a given load is most important. Too heavy a load and it will not perform, too light, and it will not work.
