We are offering a
1950s hard plastic 22" walker doll
with
flirty eyes
.  The doll comes
with her
original outfit
.  The listing includes the following:
1950s
IDEAL 22" hard plastic walker doll
with
flirty eyes
that move from side to side as well as up and down.  The doll has
beautiful color.  Her cheeks are very nicely blushed and there is also blush at the tips of the ears and the tops of the hands.  Her lips are bright red and
open to
expose her tongue and two top teeth.
She has
clear flirty blue eyes
that move from side to side,
applied upper lashes
,
painted lower lashes and brows.
The area
above the eyes is shaded nicely.
The
left eye tends to sometimes move out of alignment
. So far,
we have found that the eyes are corrected when we just move the doll back and forth a little.
The
fingernails and toenails are molded well
and there are
dimples and wrinkles
on the hands and feet giving them
a natural appearance
.  She also has dimples at the knees. The doll also has lovely
shiny, golden
blond hair with bangs
in the front,
a seamed middle part
, and
long braids
with added pink ribbons.
She is
marked IDEAL DOLL
on the back of the body
and also on the
back of the head
.  She has a
crier inside the body that doesn't appear to work.
There is a small spot where the neckline meets the body that I did not try to clean and I noticed in the pictures that there is a very small dot on the nose that I also did not try to clean.  Overall, the doll is clean and odor free.  I think that she is a gorgeous vintage doll.
Beautiful original pink dress with an attached slip.
I am not an expert with types of material but I can tell that the
dress fabric is nice
and has what I would describ
e as a pattern on pattern "basketweave" texture.  The dress is trimmed with rick rack at the neckline.  It has 3 decorative buttons down from the neck to a
semi-
circular panel
that separates the upper part of the bodice from the lower part.  The
panel extends to the back of the dress and is trimmed with eyelet ruffled lace.
The
dress buttons in the back
and the dress also has a
pink satin ribbon at the waist
that ties into a sweet bow.  Also the dress has
short puffed sleeves and an attached slip
edged with simple lace around the hem.
In addition to the attached slip is a full length slip
with a ruffled hem.   The second slip buttons in the back and flares out nicely.
Under the dress and slip, the doll wears a onesie and panties
.  Completing the outfit is
a pair of white plastic side snap shoes
that are marked IDEAL TOY CORPORATION/MADE IN U.S.A.
I am also including an
extra yellow dress
that was found when I found the doll.  It does fit the doll but it has a place where the fabric is splitting.  The dress is yellow, has short puffed sleeves, buttons in the back and has two rows of rick rack trim around the skirt.  There is a significant split in the shoulder area in between the neckline and the doll's right arm.  It would need repair but I decided to include it just in case it could be used.
